Issue III - African Warriors

In this special edition, we spotlight African heritage and bold self-expression.

Issue III celebrates legendary African warriors you should know, including the fearless Dahomey Amazons and the iconic Queen Amanirenas. These stories of courage and resistance form the heart of our cultural tribute.

Gracing our cover is the stunning Chidinma Sunday, not only a model but also the designer of the striking outfit she wears, a symbol of beauty, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Inside, we feature Oluwafeyifunmii, a Lagos-based natural hair influencer, as she shares empowering tips on self-care and embracing natural hairstyles. Dive into the world of the Senegalese Twists, where you’ll learn how to style, maintain, and celebrate this iconic African look.

And of course, no issue is complete without our love letter to melanin, as we continue our tradition of celebrating the beauty and depth of African skin.

Issue II marked a bold step into the heart of Africa’s evolving narrative.

On the cover is Adedoyin Abiolaa fast-rising Nigerian actress best known for her role as Peju in the critically acclaimed film Nimbe, which premiered in cinemas in 2019 and later found global audiences on Netflix in 2020. Directed by Tope Alake, Nimbe was a box office success and earned a nomination at the 2019 UK Nollywood Film Festival Awards.

This issue dives into rich cultural expressions across the continent — featuring:

  •  Mona Rachael, a Kenyan locs influencer sharing her natural hair journey.
  • Spotlight stories on the Asante Tribe of Ghana, the Ijaw Tribe of Nigeria, and the Fulani people across Africa.
  • Hair culture features like the Bantu Knots and the Stretched Afro.

We also highlight a stunning array of African models, photographers, makeup artists, and as always, we continue our celebration of the melanin glow — the crown of African beauty.
